Historically the venue was originally built in 1968 and used for Queensland Target Sports (QTS) membership for the small bore Olympic discipline shooting sports. In preparation for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games the facility has been redeveloped by the Queensland Government at a cost of approximately $9m. The facility now hosts four international-level shooting ranges (10m, 25m, 50m and Finals) for the small bore rifle, air rifle and pistol shooting disciplines. With the upgraded facilities Queensland Target Sports (QTS) and Pistol Shooting Queensland (PSQ) have taken the opportunity to establish a new management entity for the facility: Brisbane International Shooting Centre Limited (BISC). The facility will be the only one of its standard in Australia that is run by the shooting sports community. A world class venue with a “small club atmosphere” You could find yourself shooting alongside Olympians, Para-Olympians, Commonwealth Games or World Cup medalists, or a first timer learning all about the sport. The friendly atmosphere provides a great venue for all to learn, practice and train side-by-side.
Read MoreBISC not only hosts some amazing local, national and international shooting events but is also a great venue for other community events, the like of flower & art shows or product launches.
BISC offers terrific training facilities for both individuals and squads. We invite members who belong to an ISSF member body to train here in all seasons all year.
BISC is a great place to catch up with friends, have a coffee, train and then be ready for the next competition on the venue.
